International's Escobedo Assembly Plant is outfitted with a number of highly advanced technologies including state-of-the-art hardware and software for plant automation and Enterprise Resource Planning, an automated storage system, a robotic painting system, an advanced paint mixing system, and computer-controlled torque wrenches.
These technologies are complemented by manufacturing performance improvement
concepts, including Kaizen and Kanban. Plant employees are instructed
in these approaches to continuously improve quality, streamline operations
and improve the flow of materials through the assembly process.
